Today's a crappy day.

Ah....the ignominy of it all!!!!! What a shame, what a game! A nail-biting finish, it truly was..It is so terribly terrible, so awfully awful to have your team lose, to have that beautiful image that you've been building up go "poof!" in one single moment...

If only there hadn't been that four in the last ball of the 19th over. If only the doggedly-determined Shane Warne had fallen. If only the SuperKings had somehow put up a few more runs on the board in the first innings..If only they had somehow, someway blocked that fatal last run of the last demonic ball. If only...if only....

And yet...and yet, there's this phrase for solace, "All's fair in love and war". And after all, is a great cricket match truly great sans any warring???

I can float!!!

It was simply........breathtaking. A moment so pure and simple, it literally took my breath away (also, add to that the fact that I was actually underwater, so I am guessing that that might have had something to do with the "taking of the breath" part).

It was the perfect day for a dip, and I went to the natatorium (this building is strategically located about 2 mins away from my apartment) and reached the water, with my "cool blue" bathing suit. I totally, absolutely loved the feeling of the water on me...it is so magical...such a....delicious feeling. Folks around me had already started doing their own thing--splashing around, testing the feel of it, doing laps....
I started to feel like a complete moron (Oh, this is where I should probably tell you--I do know how to swim, used to take classes all the time in primary and middle school...all the way till I was 14 years old....and then I suddenly stopped). I did go back to the pool once (yeah, just once) in my first year but I just...couldn't.....float!!!! I was terribly shocked! Oh, woe is me...this was awful. All those years of training and then I completely lost the thing!!

Anyway...to get back to the magical moment......here I was, trying desperately to do something other than just stand there in 4ft. of water...when I thought, "Let's do this". And wonder of wonders! What do you think happened.....IT happ
ened!!!! I swam! I actually kicked back from the pool wall and let go, kicking fast and hard....and I was on water.

Oh wowwww.......that right there. There's absolutely nothing quite like it. That was one of the best moments of my entire life--past, present and future. Source: J.Beever
