Theory of Homesickness

I will be writing about homesickness today. It's a really profound concept, and it affects all of us someday or the other. Was that R.K.Narayan who wrote "Everybody feels like running away from home at some point in their lives"?? I guess in reality he was intending to say that people get so pressurized by all that's happening around them that, at some point, they feel the need to break their bonds and flee. I can honestly say that I, personally, have never ever felt such an urge. All my life I have been satisfied with the way things have been progressing. Except now, that is. Nowadays, I feel like I have to break all that's tying me to the here-and-now and just....go home. After all, what could be more important? :))))

Well, I know some of you might start to get worried about my state of mind right now...For those who think that way, let me assure you of something--I am NOT going crazy...I'm perfectly sane. I have the following to prove I'm being completely truthful when I say that:
This is a comic strip about grad students and their lives, and it is one of the things that totally perks up my day....you can check out the website at www.phdcomics.com. The artist, Jorge Cham, came to K-State campus last week and conducted an amazing book-day...workshops, book signing and lectures. He holds a doctoral degree from Stanford in kinematics and robotics, and this is his way of saying "You're not alone" :)

This one, especially, is one of my favourites...It's aptly titled "Grad student etiquette" and the comic strip's absolutely awesome, check it out guys...Have a great day, seeya all tomorrow.
